In a scoping project, funded by the Society for Research into Higher Education, an interdisciplinary research approach was used to explore, through literature review, interviews and interdisciplinary group discussions, educational approaches and frameworks for supporting interprofessional and collaborative practice. In the latter phase of the project an event was organised, the purpose of which was to share ideas, create a network and gather further perspectives through wider interdisciplinary conversations. The event included both traditional and arts-based approaches, poetry and dance. Concepts emerging from the interviews and literature review, such as complexity, creativity and child-centred care, were communicated via performance.
